Eggs-ellent free range eggs from happy hens.
At Vic’s Meat Market we’re proud to have Holbrook Paddock Eggs available. The flavoursome eggs are the perfect breakfast staple to go with our sausages and bacon.
Located in Holbrook NSW, the grass fed Isa Brown hens enjoy the true meaning of free range, as they’re free to roam the paddocks as they please. Absolutely no hormones or antibiotics are used and with vibrant yellow yolks, the eggs are as natural as it gets.
The happy hens roost and lay their eggs in portable sheds which are moved onto fresh pasture twice a week. The hens are free to roam the paddock allowing them unlimited access to fresh grass, bugs and grubs. Eight Maremma dogs live with the hens providing protection from predators.
Want to know more? Here are six reasons why Holbrook Paddock Eggs are so eggs-ellent.
1. THE YOLKS ARE BRIGHTER!
You can expect deeper, brighter and more nutritious egg yolks because the hens are free to graze on an abundant selection of native pastures, bugs and insects.
2. THE WHITES ARE WHITER
As an integral part of Holbrook Paddock Eggs’ holistic farming system, the hens produce eggs in a 100% natural and open paddock environment.
3. THE SHELLS ARE STRONGER
Never caged like many of their city cousins, the hens live day and night in a stress-free, open and outdoor environment.
4. THE EGGS TASTE BETTER
Holbrook Paddock Eggs have been unanimously voted the best tasting eggs in Australia (comprehensive breakfast research undertaken by 4 closely-related daughters all aged 9 and under).
5. THE HENS HAVE IT ALL
They’re free to roam in a completely natural and open pasture system.
6. THEY’RE LEADING THE WAY
One of Australia’s first truly open-paddock, free-roaming egg production system.
